| The patterns and colors of a quilt speak volumes about the life of the quilter. As early as 1810, heart designs were incorportated into quilting, many appearing at County Fairs across America. Jim Shore's angel features the heart patterns to symbolize a prayer for love. To some it may a reminder of the love of family and friends; to others it may signify Godly love; or even romantic love. Regardless, the heart remains a symbol of love, and love in all its forms is the thread that binds us together. |
